SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Supervisor supervises preventive and corrective maintenance work for assigned stores. Ensures all work is completed within our standards in a timely and economical manner.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises preventative and corrective maintenance work for various properties (roofing, plumbing, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical, etc.) as well as various project work
  • Coordinates and monitors tasks related to the proper maintenance of stores equipment as well as general maintenance services (janitorial, waste removal, snow removal, landscaping, etc.)
  • Completes various audits (Preventive Maintenance Visits (PMV), environmental, store, janitorial, energy, etc.)
  • Evaluates after inspection, the appropriate corrective measures to be taken
  • Ensures the respect of established standards, while completing all tasks in a timely and economical manner
  • Evaluates quotations and negotiates prices and /or contents as needed
  • Prepares work requisition and transmit same for appropriate approval
  • Manages, analyze, periodic expense reports to ensure budget is respected
  • Verifies and approves all corrective work invoices for payment
  • Responds to after hour calls and emergencies as required
  • Search for new Contractors
  • Other related tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College level diploma in Building systems or Electro-mechanical studies
  • 3 - 5 years experience in building maintenance
  • Intermediate Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Skilled task supervision and coordination
  • Skilled negotiator
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

RELATIONSHIPS:

Office, Stores, Pharmacies, Suppliers/ vendors , City officials, Fire departments, Labour inspectors, Government health inspectors, Technical Standards and Safety Authority, Electrical Safety Authority.
